Celebrating Pride

June is Pride Month, when the world comes together to celebrate the freedom of LGBT and all people, to be themselves. Pride gatherings are rooted in the arduous history of minority groups who have struggled for decades to overcome prejudice and be accepted for who they are. The month of June was chosen to pay homage to the Stonewall uprising in June 1969 in New York City, which helped spark the modern gay rights movement.

Juniper at Bucks County celebrated Pride Day on Wednesday, June 24th, 2020.  Throughout the building, every corner you turned displayed an array of beautiful colors flowing through the community.  Associates, families and residents wore the rainbow as promotion of the self-affirmation, dignity, and equality, of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people as a social group to increase visibility among people.
