Our Elves Holiday Tea at Juniper Village at Chatham was a great time again this year.
Adorned with hats and headpieces, the residents enjoyed many specialty food items, such as Mediterranean Egg Salad tea sandwiches, Grinch elf skewers of fruit, sandwiches of smoked ham, brie and green apples, tomato pesto tarts, holiday cookies, and “mugs of cocoa” made with candy canes and marshmallows. The tea was seasonal too: Gingersnap, eggnog and peppermint bark. We all enjoyed two rounds of holiday trivia with Hershey kisses as prizes, and the residents went home with kits to make little llama ornaments. It’s a tradition we intend to keep every Christmas Eve.
