Our Quilts of Valor

Our Quilts of Valor

2019 marked the 75th Anniversary of D-Day.

The Happy Valley Chapter of Quilts of Valor, a national Organization, came to Juniper Village at Brookline to honor two residents who were World War II veterans. The Quilts of Valor Foundation is a national organization founded in 2003. The mission of the foundation is to “cover” service members and veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor. Since their inception in 2003, the Quilts of Valor has grown to over 10,000 members and has awarded over 218,000 quilts. The Foundation honored Ed Bellis, an Army Sergeant who served in Italy during WWII, and Larry Levy, a Sergeant in the Army Air Core who served in Iceland and England during WWII.  Thank you to Ed and Larry for your service to our country!
