When our usual entertainer was not allowed to enter our building due to the latest health restrictions, we did not let that stop us from celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in style at Juniper Village at Lebanon. With less than 24 hours notice, resident Nancy Hemler agreed to play the handbells, with Becky accompanying her on the piano. We played the St. Patrick’s songs that were familiar to us from our recent Joyful Noise Singers concert for St. Patrick’s Day. Nancy did an amazing job, and people were singing along to the familiar strains of “My Wild Irish Rose” and “When Irish Eyes Are Smiling”, as well as many other beautiful Irish songs. When the concert was over, Nancy remarked that she never put on a show with less practice, but she had to admit that it came out pretty good after all!
