Sometimes you just have to be creative when roadblocks pop up when you least expect them. In this case, we wanted to play Bingo, but our caller Stacy could not enter the building due to the current restrictions in place to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 Virus. So Stacy’s daughter Emily, who is a member of the Connections team, made sure that her mother had a set of large Bingo numbers at home, and then she used our iPad and the Apple TV to magically have Stacy calling Bingo in The Garden Room, just like we’re used to, except for the occasional bark from Stacy’s dog Rocky! Earlier in the day, we helped another resident call her daughter using our iPad and FaceTime. We will certainly be coordinating more calls like this in the days and weeks ahead.
