Recently, Juniper Village at Forest Hills hosted “The Art of Cartooning” a presentation by local cartoonist, Duane M. Abel.
Mr. Abel, Cartoonist of ZED discovered his destiny for cartooning the first time he picked up a pencil and scribbled his first cartoon! He then began a lifelong pursuit to bring happiness to the world. A favorite activity among countless retirement communities all across the nation, Cartooning allows the audience to take a trip down memory lane and revisit their childhood through the Sunday Funnies. Duane captivates his audience with behind the scene stories about their favorite comic strips, and amazes them as the comics come to life with Duane’s family friendly comic strip, ZED. The presentation included a Forty-five minute Cartooning Demonstration, Stories about the Sunday Funnies, and Drawing keepsake giveaways.
