Lynne Katzmann is the founder & CEO of Juniper Communities, the first woman-founded, owned, and led senior living company in the US. She launched Juniper at 32, believing aging should be about thriving.

Today, Juniper operates 28 communities with a person-centered, data-driven approach that has made it a national leader in innovation.

A pioneer in integrated care, Lynne developed Connect4Life, improving health outcomes for high-need older adults, and co-founded the Perennial Consortium, a Medicare Advantage plan designed for senior living community members.

Recognized for her impact, she was the first recipient of the McKnight’s Women of Distinction Lifetime Achievement Award and an American Senior Housing Association Hall of Fame inductee.

With nearly 40 years in healthcare, Lynne continues to drive meaningful change, ensuring senior living is a key part of the healthcare continuum.

With over 28 years at Juniper, Chuck Hastings has been instrumental in driving financial strategy and executing growth initiatives. As CFO, he ensures Juniper’s financial strength while leading acquisitions of distressed or underperforming properties, helping expand Juniper’s impact.

A seasoned finance professional, Chuck previously worked in real estate syndication, healthcare finance, and strategic consulting, holding roles at The Winslow Corporation, Mediplex Group, and Marakon Associates. He earned his MBA from Wharton with a focus on health care and entrepreneurial management.

Chuck has also led Juniper’s efforts to streamline operations, modernize financial processes, and go paperless in audits and tax reporting. He partners with top financial institutions to secure innovative funding solutions for complex healthcare real estate investments.

An active leader outside of work, Chuck serves on the Lupus Foundation of New Jersey board. A basketball enthusiast and runner, he lives in Basking Ridge, NJ, with his wife, Janine, and their Irish Wolfhound, Baker.

Amy Purcell brings more than 15 years of senior living experience to her role as Juniper’s National Director of Sales. She joined Juniper in 2021 as Regional Director of Sales for the Northeast and was quickly promoted for her results-driven leadership.

Amy oversees census growth across Juniper’s portfolio, leading CRM adoption, refining sales processes, and creating new training and performance benchmarks. Her advanced reporting systems continue to drive revenue success.

She began her career as a licensed nursing home administrator and later led regional sales across the Mid-Atlantic. Amy holds a bachelor’s in healthcare administration and an MBA from Villanova, plus multiple administrator licenses in PA and NJ.

A proud Villanova mom of three, Amy lives in Pennsylvania with her husband. Off the clock, she finds joy in time with extended family and relaxing at the Jersey Shore.

Don Breneman is Juniper’s Chief Operating Officer and a 20-year veteran of the organization. He started in 2003 as an Executive Director and quickly rose through the ranks, blending care, analytics, and innovation to help Juniper thrive.

As COO, Don oversees operations, risk management, IT systems, quality programs, and new growth initiatives. He leads Juniper’s data strategy and integrates systems that power better outcomes and national recognition.

Before Juniper, he served on the leadership team at Sharon Regional Health System and consulted in quality assurance and strategic planning. Don earned his bachelor’s from West Virginia University—where he was the first male to receive a Certificate in Gerontology—and his master’s from Slippery Rock University.

He is a Certified Dementia Practitioner, licensed administrator, and board member of the Pennsylvania Health Care Association. Don lives in Sharpsville, PA with his wife, three kids, and their dog—and plays jazz bass in his spare time.

Cindy Longfellow brings over 35 years of healthcare experience—including 22+ in senior living—to her role as Vice President of Business Development, Sales & Marketing at Juniper Communities. A driving force behind Juniper’s growth since 2003, Cindy leads strategic sales, marketing, and outreach efforts across all communities.

She began as Director of Community Relations at Juniper Village at Louisville, rising through regional and national leadership roles before taking on her current position. Cindy has championed Juniper’s shift to digital marketing, led the development of training programs, and created systems to track performance and drive results—all while staying true to Juniper’s mission.
Cindy holds a BA in psychology from the University of Minnesota and is a certified assisted living director in Colorado. She serves on the board of SMASH (Senior Care Sales and Marketing Summit).

Based in Colorado, Cindy loves hiking and biking with her husband, Gary, and spoiling her three grandkids.

Anne Campbell brings over 18 years of senior living experience to her role as Vice President of Operations at Juniper Communities. She oversees operations in the Northeast region and leads key initiatives that shape Juniper’s future.

Anne joined Juniper in 2014 through the acquisition of the Brookline campus in State College, PA, where she had served as Executive Director since 2006. After joining the home office in 2018 as National Director of Special Projects, she was promoted to VP in 2023.

She has led the expansion and trademarking of Connect4Life, Juniper’s nationally recognized integrated care model, now adopted by other providers. Anne also oversees innovation projects like Juniper’s resident and family portal.

Anne holds a BSW from Bloomsburg University and serves on the board of the PA Health Care Association and Centre County Geriatric Network. She lives in State College with her husband, Jim, their two Penn State students, and their dog, Oliver.
